In this Program Box you will find the materials to host a variety of activities that engage community members of different ages and help them progress along their own Jewish journeys! Instructions for several programs are included on laminated cards, making it easy for you to carry them as a fast-reference during the activity.

• Wooden mezuzah cases for decoration
• Feather quills for scribe activity
• Bottles of ink for scribe activity
• Paper parchment for scribe activity
• Example copies of kosher klaf and & non-kosher klaf
• Purple feather pens

• Sample Parchment made from animal skin
• Example klaf cards Labeled “Not Kosher”

Suggested Additional Materials (NOT INCLUDED):

• Case decoration materials (Stickers, Gems decals, Paint Markers, Puff Paint)
• Paper plates (to organize decoration materials and as individual workplaces)
• Tablecloth (disposable/washable)
• Paper Towels (so you don’t cry over spilled ink)
• Background music
• PJ Library mezuzah books such as A Mezuzah on the Door by Amy Meltzer The Shema in the Mezuzah by Sandy Eisenberg (Digital copies may be available)
