MyZuzah Appoints Lori Hoch Stiefel Director of Strategic Partnerships

VETERAN JEWISH COMMUNITY LEADER LORI HOCH STIEFEL JOINS MYZUZAH AS DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

(Chevy Chase, MD) MyZuzah is proud to announce the appointment of Lori Hoch Stiefel as its new director of strategic partnerships. Lori will play an instrumental role in advancing MyZuzah’s mission to connect, protect, and unite the Jewish people communities worldwide by providing kosher, fair-trade mezuzahs to every Jewish home worldwide.

Since its founding by Mayberg Foundation Trustee and President Manette Mayberg eight years ago, MyZuzah has distributed mezuzahs to more than 20,000 Jewish individuals and families in 72 countries, helping to foster Jewish identity and unity across the globe.

A seasoned Jewish communal professional, Lori has extensive experience spanning Federations, JCCs, Hillel, BBYO, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s PJ Library. Her work centers on strategic partnerships, community engagement, and leadership development, with an impressive track record of building relationships that lead to sustainable, values-driven impact.

“MyZuzah’s mission to place mezuzahs on doorposts as a visible, welcoming expression of Jewish life is both deeply meaningful and powerfully practical,” Lori said. “I’m excited to build strong, values-aligned partnerships that help bring this work to more communities—making Jewish belonging tangible, accessible, and present in everyday life.”

“Lori brings a wealth of experience to our MyZuzah team, and her joining signals an exciting moment of growth for us,” said Manette Mayberg. “Her role strengthens our ability to expand partnerships and programming, while building momentum for what’s ahead.”

MyZuzah CEO Rachel Berezin shared her enthusiasm for Lori’s appointment, noting: “Lori is a highly respected Jewish communal professional with a proven ability to build partnerships that lead to lasting impact. Her experience across multiple sectors of Jewish life, combined with her strategic approach and collaborative leadership style, will strengthen MyZuzah at a critical moment of growth. We are proud to welcome her and look forward to the role she will play in advancing our mission.”

Originally from Montreal, Lori now lives in Charleston, SC, with her husband and three children. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, experimenting with vegan cooking and herbal remedies, and is perpetually attempting to sew clothes that may or may not be wearable.
